We will also be hosting a mid-June Meetup this year and are delighted to bring you the following:
Jon-Paul Sullivan (Technical Lead with Cisco)
JP is a Technical Lead at Cisco, where he sates his knowledge for all things DevOps by working on cloud deployments across GCP, AWS and Openstack, and developing internal tools for development, deployment and operations of cloud-based solutions. He is also leading an inner-source initiative company-wide to further knowledge and code charing throughout Cisco.
JP's talk will be "Pied Piper Picked a Python Pipeline Pattern" and pipeline patterns in general, using a python pipeline as an example.
Shane Curtin (Software Engineer with IBM)
Shane Curtin has worked with IBM for 3 years as a Software Engineer, he spends his days developing integrations between a myriad of security products and IBM’s Resilient SOAR platform. He works closely with customers to understand their unique problems and brings that first hand knowledge of the Security Operations Center (SoC) into his work.
Shane will talk about Security in a DevOps world and demonstrate how Security Automation and Orchestration (SOAR) facilitates rapid response to a real world incident. Shane will hopefully leave you with food for thought on what you need to consider if something does go wrong.
Portershed is located just off Eyre Square at the side of the Hotel Meyrick and the back of Galway Train Station. Paid parking facilities are available.
If you would be interested in speaking at a future event please reach out directly with any of the organisers or email [masked].
