Meetup group giving students, AI researchers, developers and others a chance to discuss artificial intelligence and machine learning with staff from humanitarian organizations and work on volunteer projects creating training datasets, algorithms and prototype applications useful to the humanitarian community.

Humanitarian AI meetup groups in Cambridge, San Francisco, Seattle, New York City, Montreal, Toronto, London, Paris, Berlin, Oslo, Geneva, Zurich, Bangalore, Tel Aviv and Tokyo collaborate on events and projects and jointly produce the podcast series: Humanitarian AI Today (https://humanitarianai.org/podcasts.html)

Join this special discussion to learn about architecting multi-agent LLM systems featuring Amir Feizpour, Co-founder of Aggregate Intellect. Amir will summarize multi-agent LLM systems and cover important things to learn about LLMs, including nuances of annotating data for LLM systems and how to make LLMs remember assumptions about documents fed to them.

Philipp Zimmer, a Data Science Consultant at the World Bank, will join the conversation. He will talk about some of his work at MIT and the World Bank, including on conflicts and misinformation and discuss challenges and opportunities of using LLMs in the humanitarian-development-peace nexus.

Brent Phillips, VP of AI Partnerships at Omdena, will close the discussion with an overview on Omdena's new AI Lab's initiative which aims to involve grassroots level community organizations in developing and testing LLM powered applications addressing local needs. Brent will also introduce members to work being carried out together by the UK Humanitarian Innovation Hub (UKHIH) and Elrha focusing on advancing humanitarian applications of artificial intelligence through research and grant-making activities.

The Humanitarian AI meetup community is organizing its third Humanitarian AI Promptathon in partnership with volunteers from Omdena.

We're crowdsourcing sample questions needed by researchers to study how generative AI powered question-answering applications can answer complex questions posed by humanitarian actors. Participants can can submit three questions using this this Google form. Participants are also welcome to join our upcoming group work session to help generate and discuss more questions to add to our list.
