Join us every Saturday morning to distribute Pret a Manger food and to hand out your unused books, to people in need on the streets of Paris, starting at 10am. Not only will you be doing social good but you can meet new people from all around the world!
At around 10:45am, we deliver the sandwiches, salads, pastries and tea to the people across Paris.
Starting in May, we are also asking volunteers to bring their unused books (English or French) to either donate to Serve the City Paris, or to give to the refugees and homeless living in tents in the streets of Paris.
Volunteers go out in groups of two or more, (or alone) to various areas around the center of Paris (rue St. Honoré, Chatelet, Gare St Lazare, Opera, Porte de la Chappele, Gare de Lyon, Austerlitz, Republique, St. Germain, Bastille, Nation). Or, just take the food to the neighbourhood where you live.
- Bring a bag or backpack
- If you jog, or have a bike (or a Velib card), it makes delivery a bit easier. Otherwise everyone walks through the quartiers of Paris with their food giving out sandwiches, salads and pastries to the homeless.
-If you are more than 45 minutes late (after 10:45am) to the cafe, the group may have left to deliver sandwiches.
***PLEASE BE MINDFUL... of the fact that all our donated food is surplus from 'Pret a Manger' and therefore we are never sure on the quantity of food we will receive before the actual morning of distribution. We apologise in advance if there is limited or NO food available to deliver, it is the nature of the beast #Zerowaste ***
