• Ready Set Write! (formerly "Shut Up and Write")

Ready Set Write! is a regular meeting of motivated writers who want to grab a coffee, then shut up and write! What it's not: A forum for sharing and critiquing each other's work. There are other wonderful groups in Paris that do just that. What it is: An opportunity for writers to get together and do short, intense bursts of writing on their own projects in a friendly, supportive atmosphere. We write for 45-ish minutes, take a 15 minute break, rinse & repeat. The Anti Cafe Louvre is in the heart of Paris. The Anti Cafe is a super cool concept: you pay for the time you spend, with all the coffee/tea/wifi/snacks you want included. Check out the space here: http://www.anticafe.eu/louvre The Anti Cafe charges €5 per hour (for non-members). Writers get a 10% discount. There is a 12-person limit for the discount - if there are no-shows, their discount will be given to the next person on the waiting list. *Please update your RSVP if you can no longer come to a session!

  • Special Nature Outing: Shut Up + Write (+ Hike) in Fontainebleau!

Hello writers! For those wanting to escape Paris on the last Sunday of the month, we are organizing a special Shut Up, Write and Hike in Fontainebleau! Our goal is to start the day at Fontainebleau by 11 am. The train departs Gare de Lyon at 10h11 and arrives Fontainebleau 10h56. The day will be flexible, depending on what everybody wants to do. For example, we could start by meeting up at a cafe for a bit of writing and some food. Then do some some sightseeing/hiking thereafter with a possible visit to a nearby village if some of you are interested. If only a few of you decide to join, I (Ingrid:) am happy to pick you up from Fontainebleau-Avon station. We would be done by 18h for the return train to Paris. If you are interested, please respond below as soon as possible so we can get organised. Many thanks. NOTE: FOR THOSE NOT UP FOR THIS EVENT, WE WILL STILL BE HAVING REGULAR THE SHUT UP & WRITE LAZY SUNDAY VERSION THE USUAL TIME AND PLACE! Looking forward to hearing from you all! Questions?
