Détails

The June Meetup is being brought forward to 2nd June to facilitate 3 more people who have applied to New Frontiers GMIT to practice the pitch they will make if they get called for interview. The format will be the same as our May event (http://www.meetup.com/Startup-Galway-Pitches/events/230406564/) and will be hosted in SuperPixel Labs.

The applicants

Anthony Cahill, a Lean Manufacturing expert, is developing a technology based solution encompassing data collectors, data processors and display monitors to monitor efficiency and waste within manufacturing systems to complement continuous improvement programs.

Audrey Holland, EpiSafe is developing an innovative medical safety device specifically designed to act as a unified epilepsy monitoring and alarm system for epilepsy patients and their carers in order to prepare for a seizure event and to act as a recording/sensor device for collecting data for clinicians who manage the disorder in primary and secondary care.

Christopher Duke, Lifestyle Medical are developing a wearable medical monitoring device called Activimeter which tracks the range of motion of osteoarthritis sufferers prior to and after total knee replacement. The device provides real time data to surgeons, physiotherapists and the patient on range and duration of motion for both screening and recuperation purposes.

New Frontiers is the premier business and entrepreneur development programme in Ireland supported by Enterprise Ireland. For more see the New Frontiers (http://www.newfrontiers.ie/) national website. The deadline to apply for New Frontiers phase 2 in GMIT was 20th May.

Please note that this event is completely independent of either GMIT or Enterprise Ireland - for this meeting there will be no representative from those organisations associated with New Frontiers who will be attending this meetup.

Given the schedule they may not actually know if they have got an interview but we will follow the format that we think will be followed for the official application process.

As such we will be asking you to present for about 6-8 minutes with about the same amount of slides with Questions for about another 10 minutes so total of 20 minutes per slot.

There is an open call to all GMIT New Frontiers Alumni to attend to share their knowledge and expertise - please feel free to pass on this message..

Regards
