Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization. It helped thousands of people worldwide improving their communication, public speaking, and leadership skills. Our club welcomes English, French and German speakers!
What do we do at each meeting:
Usually, we will have 2 - 3 prepared speeches, 5-7 min each, on a freely chosen topic. Followed by "Table Topic" where everyone can participate to give a 1 - 2 min improvised speech on the given subject.
After all the speeches, we'll have feedback from the evaluators. We also have a "grammarian" to highlight good use of the English language or mistakes to be avoided, and an "Ah-counter" to help you be aware and eliminate unnecessary filler words.
At the end of the meeting, there will be an apero where you can mingle and connect with others!
Members of the Toastmaster club can also get access to "pathways" where you'll have unique education programs on public speaking and leadership training.
