This August we've got Tim Carry, developer advocate for Algolia and all around CSS nerd, coming to our shores. He's going to talk about their CSS Search engine, released sometime back in April. I see the confused look in your eyes. Is that not reason enough to come?
I'm a big fan of Algolia. Think of it as a powerful search engine in a box that floats on a cloud. I could continue this analogy but you probably get the idea already.
We'll end the night with a group discussion, nay confession, on battle stories/epic fails. You can either mention what happened or demonstrate it to the group on the projector.
These don't have to be CSS related. For example, I once cleared my /var/www contents with rsync. Lesson: embrace --dry-run
Please bring your friends, colleagues, significant other(s). There's a $5 entry fee like last time. Not a fan of Paypal? You can send payment to my bank account: Nav #[masked] Ref: ackcss oh and your name please.
See ya there.
