This Sunday we are going to climb to the Creux du Van and hike down to a section of the beautiful Gorges de l'Aureuse.
🏔️ HIKE DETAILS
We will meet at the Noiraigue train station at 9:02 and start climbing to the Creux du Van. We will walk around the canyon and we will come down for a walk up a nice section of the Gorges de l'Aureuse which will take us back to Noiraigue.
Duration: 6 hours (including breaks)
Length: 16.9km
Elevation gain: 891m.

⚠️ TECHNICAL / PHYSICAL DIFFICULTY
This hike is not technically difficult but you need to be moderately fit to do it as the group walks fast. Ideally you should have have done hikes of more than 1000m elevation.

Please wear boots with traction as some areas my be slippery due to past rain.
🌏 DIRECTIONS
If you come from Geneva:
- IC5 (direction Rorschach) departing Cornavin at 8:15 and arriving in Neuchâtel at 9:24.
- Then, R21 (direction Buttes) departing Neuchâtel 9:41 and arriving in Noiraigue at 10:03.
If you come from Lausanne:
- R2 (direction Yverdon-les-Bains) departing Lausanne at 8:26 and arriving in Yverdon-les-Bains at 8:58.
- IC5 (direction Rorschach) departing Yverdon-les-Bains at 9:06 and arriving in Neuchâtel at 9:24.
- Then, R21 (direction Buttes) departing Neuchâtel 9:41 and arriving in Noiraigue at 10:03.
For our way back, there are trains back every 30 minutes to Neuchâtel until approximately 17:20 and then every hour after that.
