Dear members,

We are pleased to announce that the next MTL + ECOMMERCE event in collaboration with GlobalOne - a division of Pivotal Payments, will be held on Thursday, April 23rd at the 1100 René-Lévesque. [NOTE: THE EVENT LOCATION HAS CHANGED].

Our first guest speaker, Sophie Boulanger, Chief Product Officer and Co-Founder at BonLook, will give a presentation entitled "Is Brick & Mortar The Future Of E-Commerce?".

Our second speaker, Evan Prodromou, entrepreneur and Founder of Fuzzy.io will give a presentation on Adaptive Pricing strategies called "AI for Adaptive Pricing -- Easier than it sounds!".

Sophie Boulanger -- Chief Product Officer and Co-Founder -- BonLook

Sophie is Chief Product Officer and Co-Founder of BonLook. She is at the source of the company's inception, having had the idea many years ago from a personal need. Prior to Bonlook, she completed a BCom at McGill University in Montreal and a Master's at SDA Bocconi in Milan. She cumulates over 10 years of merchandising experience in the fashion industry, notably at L'Oréal, Christian Dior Couture in Paris and Jacob in Montreal. A positive and engaged leader, she is passionate about online retail. She is actively involved in the Montreal tech startup ecosystem, being frequently invited to participate to panels about entrepreneurship and fashion-tech.

The retail industry is at cross roads. On one hand a lot of traditional brick & mortar chains are closing but on the other hand, customers still want to experience the brands they like and interact with them. Ecommerce, with all its convenience, was supposed to be the kiss of death of traditional retail. But is it really?

Evan Prodromou is a Montreal entrepreneur and developer. He is the founder of Wikitravel and StatusNet and founding CTO of Breather. His most recent venture, fuzzy.io (http://fuzzy.io/), makes it easy to add intelligence to any software."

Adaptive pricing is an important part of optimizing any e-commerce site, but many site owners are intimidated by their options. Evan will review some of the issues with adaptive pricing and cover some basic techniques to make your pricing strategy adapt to your user."
