À propos de ce groupe

Hi and welcome to WordPress Cambridge (https://wpcbg.uk/) #wpcbg (https://wpcbg.uk/)

WordPress Cambridge is a monthly Meetup for users, designers & developers to pool their knowledge, experiences and techniques. Voted the 8th best meetup in town by a Cambridge Business lounge poll (http://www.cambridgebusinesslounge.com/cambridges-favourite-networking-event-results/)

We have monthly Monday evening meetings at the Bradfield Centre on the Science Park. Usually a talk about Wordpress or websites, and the experts promise to solve 1 problem at the clinic.

The aim is to let 1,000 flowers bloom. Everyone is welcome to become an organiser and organise speakers, other events or ???.

We also have a code of conduct (https://wpcbg.uk/code-of-conduct/) to ensure our meetings are friendly and welcoming to everyone who wants to attend. Please check it out (https://wpcbg.uk/code-of-conduct/)!

Cambridge Wordpress: Interesting useful plugins

The Bradfield Centre, Central Working Cambridge

We're inviting everyone to present a useful plugin that most of us haven't used or hear about. There are the standard plugins that everyone uses, e.g Yoast. This evening is about plugins that are worth knowing about, because they solved one of your problems. You can prepare a few slides, or just roll up with a laptop, and demonstrate a site that used this plugin. Speakers so far include: Elisabeth Klaar; Simon Bragg: WP ALLimport (possibly) This meeting is sponsored by Twin Dots (http://www.twindots.com/) the leading branding, design and development agency in Newmarket. Twin Dots has clients like Cambridge Marketing College, 450 GSM, Racing Welfare, and Devam the jewellers. The usual format: 18:45: Roll up for a couple of beers in the foyer, & chat, mingle etc. 19:15 start: Everyone introduces themselves: 20 seconds max, mainly describing their involvement with WordPress. 2. Up to 3 * 3 minute pitches. Share discoveries, useful tips, requests for help with charitable projects. 3: WordPress News with our star reporter Ben Attenborough. 4. Presentations. 5. Clinic: Bring along a problem, and the audience will offer advice. If we can't, maybe we'll have a solution by next meeting. Kinda aiming to finish the formal part by about 21:00, depending on everyone's enthusiasm to chat & discuss. 6. Beer & networking: We should leave by about 21:45 at the latest.
