As a Dharma practitioner, one should only ask how is the progress of one’s own Dharma practice? Whether it has been done well or not, fast or slow? While most ordinary people would feel and reflect upon their own past on a scale of happiness and pain, as Dharma practitioners, especially for those who have already reached a certain level of spiritual realization, we should focus our minds to review on our own Dharma practices.

Let's meetup to learn and practice Taiji form and movement. Please contact us to schedule your class try: 646-801-9218. After a class try, classes are in 3 or 6 month blocks. We do not offer drop-in class, however do have a reasonable absence policy.

We offer four graduated levels of form class. You may combine push hands coursework with Taiji form class for an additional fee. From time to time we offer Qigong courses as well.

Form work involves warmups, stances, sequenced movement, partner work and self-defense training. Generally anybody, whether simply seeking better balance and body coordination, to martial artists and athletes benefit. All ages and body types welcome.

Note: Taiji refers to Tai Chi Chuan, or Taijiquan. Our foundation is Yang Family / Style Taiji, yet stylists from other lines train with us. We meet weekly except for some major holidays and a possibly Summer break.

Taiji EastWest has been organizing push hands for over 20 years. Attendees under the age of 18 must have a guardian with them.

Every disease and emotional trigger is linked to a biological marker along the spine, referred to as the "Dragon Vessel." By practicing a simple, ancient form of standing meditation, you can achieve a healthier spine and, consequently, a healthier life. This approach underscores the belief that maintaining spinal health is crucial for the overall balance and well-being of the body, as it is thought to be a key conduit for the body's vital energy or Qi. Through this meditative practice, it is believed that one can harmonize this energy flow, potentially preventing or alleviating various ailments and ensuring the optimal functioning of both mind and body.
