For how long have you used Linux?

Since 1996. Red Hat first, then SuSE for awhile (I liked YaST). Tried CentOS. Moved to Debian, then Ubuntu. Back to Debian. Just now installed Fedora 17, and boy was that a nice install experience! Of course, if I learned anything, I've long since forgotten it. I'm surprised I remembered using Linux that long ago.

Which Distributions do you use?

Just installed Fedora 17 after having lunch with Chris O'Donnell the other day. I'm currently using Scientific Linux 6.3.

Former scientist working to retain tech skills leading IT projects. I've screwed up Linux installations since 1996. With that long term experience, I've forgotten much. Each new system is like opening a gift, I never know what I'm getting into.
