Kaplan - Road to business school (5 days left to register)

Hello members,

The 'road to business school' event is just 5 days away. I wanted to take this opportunity to encourage all of you who are planning to apply to business school sometime in the near future, but have not yet registered for this event, to attend.

Contrary to popular belief, these events can be used a lot more productively than for simply walking to the booth of a particular school and collecting a brochure. This is your chance to network with admissions representatives of various school that you may be interested in and find out information that may not be necessarily available on websites. You can pitch your profile and get feedback on whether you should try to improve any aspects of your applications, extract more detailed information about a particular specialization you want to pursue etc.

Just one word of advice : If you do plan to attend, be sure that your questions are tailored specifically to your personal goals. Asking general questions such as 'what is the average GMAT score of admitted students, how much does it cost to attend your program etc. can be counter productive as these are pieces of information that you should already be familiar with because they are readily available all over the web and in publications and hence, may demonstrate to school representatives that you have not done your own research and thus may not be serious about attending the particular school, whose representative you are meeting with.

If you have any other questions, please do let me know.

Currently, there are 84 schools confirmed for the San Francisco event (listed below).
