Haslemere circular walk - 14 Miles - Hilly!!

Details
!!Important note: this is a hilly walk and therefore not suitable for beginners!!
Featuring: Devil’s Punch Bowl, Temple of the Four Winds, and some gloriously tired legs
Ready to escape the city and test your calves in the great outdoors? Join us for a 14-mile circular hike from Haslemere, where we’ll explore Surrey’s finest hills, mythical-sounding landmarks, and probably question our life choices around mile 10.
We’ll kick things off with a gentle(ish) climb out of Haslemere, heading straight into the glorious wilds of the Devil’s Punch Bowl – a massive natural crater with views so dramatic they deserve their own soap opera. Legend says the Devil got angry and punched the earth. We say he probably skipped breakfast.
From there, we’ll wind our way through enchanting woods and up to the Temple of the Four Winds – no actual temple, but a cool stone shelter with views that’ll make your Instagram followers weep with envy. Somewhere along the way, we’ll also pass the Temple of the Winds (because one temple of winds clearly wasn’t enough). Expect trees, breeze, and a moment to wonder if we’re in a Tolkien novel.
There will be hills. There will be snacks. There might be dramatic group selfies at the top of climbs. Pack lunch, water, decent shoes, and your finest hiking banter. And maybe bring a small offering to the Hiking Gods – you’ll thank them by mile 12.
Meeting point: Haslemere Station
Distance: 14 miles (give or take a heroic shortcut)
Difficulty: Moderate to “why are my thighs on fire?”
Duration: Around 6–7 hours, depending on snack breaks and photo ops

IMPORTANT
Please bear in mind this is a free of charge, self-guided trip with a hobby group. It is not organized by a business nor any entity with commercial purposes.
Any trip details, travel advice, route planning, instructions and other content in our group merely represent our shared personal knowledge, research and suggestions as outdoor enthusiasts. As this is no business, there is no "product", "service" or "package" and also no "tour guide", "operator" or "walk leader".
Each participant is responsible for their own safety. Even if some of us are very experienced walking outdoors, nobody assumes responsibility for any kind of injury, damage or loss that may happen.
Despite this, we take extreme precautions and all trips we plan are very safe, fun, highly educational and popular. Our experienced members volunteer their time and effort to shape a pleasant and quality adventure for everyone :-)
By participating you acknowledge and agree with this disclaimer.
Here are our tips on staying safe during outdoor trips:

TRAVEL, ACCOMMODATION, INSURANCE
Although we provide detailed suggestions, each participant is expected to arrange their own travel - this gives everyone the freedom and choice. Anyone interested in travel or outdoor insurance should also arrange this on their own. As mentioned above we always take extreme precautions, but some people may still feel safer if covered.
As most of our trips are confirmed or postponed very close to the event date - heavily depending on the weather forecasts - we advise not to buy this until the last minute. People getting tickets from the same station are encouraged to meet early on the day to benefit from discounts such as GroupSave.
