Every Sunday we offer a totally free yoga class that provides a synthesis of pranayama (breathing practice), vinyasa flow, deep stretching, and long relaxation (yoga nidra). The yoga class is 90 minutes. You do not have to stay past the yoga class.
The yoga class is followed by free Satsang which includes guided meditation, group chanting, and teachings from the yoga texts.
This event is open to all levels and feel free to come to any or all of it. We have mats and props available in the studio.
On the last Sunday of each month, instead of Satsang, we have free community Kirtan (yoga chanting in a call and response format) followed by community dinner provided by Carioca Bowls, which we do ask for donations to support.
During the week we ask for donations for classes, but on Sundays the classes are totally free. We do not accept donations for yoga classes on Sundays. If you really want to donate, then please do so on any day but Sunday. Thanks for your understanding and support.
Yoga classes are held in a room specially built and designed for yoga classes. Enter the restaurant from the east side and then you will see the door with the shoes in front of it that leads to the yoga studio.
