David Ronen [masked] The practice of NVC can contribute to: The joyful, healing, meaningful experience of being deeply seen and heard and contributing to others’ experience of being deeply seen and heard. and The liberating discovery of beautiful (and totally natural and universal) needs at the root of our judgements and uncomfortable feelings. NVC is a great compliment to Circling, Authentic Relating, and other personal and relational practices. * Never heard of NVC and want to know a little bit more ahead of time? For quick, fun video intros see the “CupOfEmpathy” channel on YouTube, including especially her “self-connection” channel. The book “NonViolent Communication, a Language of Life” by Marshall Rosenberg, the developer of NVC is another great introduction.

  • Holding You Close - Heartbeat Nurturing

    Our House

I am hosting this workshop developed and facilitated by Amara Karuna, a good friend and excellent facilitator whose work I believe in. DO NOT register under Meetup - registration information is through Amara, contact info below. Thanks. - Gene *************************************************** Do you sometimes wish you could just relax and be cradled in supportive loving arms? Come join us for a powerful, intimate and healing event! with Amara Karuna, author of "Heartbeat Nurturing Therapy". * Create longer lasting relationships with deeper bonding * Learn to transform needy childlike feelings with lovers * Trust others more deeply * Love and accept yourself more * Forgive others more easily * Hold space for nurturing others A version of inner child therapy, this process works by accessing the infant self and memories still stored in our deep subconscious and cellular memory. By using cradling, hypnotic induction, shamanic journeying, touch, sound and spoken words, we open a direct channel back to that time and the neural patterns holding those experiences around birth and infancy. This intimate healing practice addresses the pain that many of us experienced as infants in our birth traumas, and the lack of enough skin to skin contact and breast feeding from our mothers after birth. We can re-write patterns by identifying and visualizing more ideal first experiences, and providing aspects of them now with roleplaying. We integrate new patterns into present time using powerful affirmations and messages for healing. This is a strong practice for both men and women to give and receive, to experience the nurturing sweetness of both fathering and mothering. Give yourself the gift of true nurturing! People attending beginning class do not need to come with a partner. It is a wonderful practice for couples to share. We will be trading a shorter sessions with different gender pairs, so we can experience being both mothered and fathered. Please have some experience with counseling and healing work. There will be clothed close body contact, (optional taking your shirt off) but no sexual activity in this class. Please bring a potluck dish for dinner, and pillows and blankets. Call Amara at[masked] or just email [masked] to register. $30 paid in advance Pay at door $38 per person sliding scale To pay in advance, use your credit card at https://lovingconnections.yapsody.com/ Refunds only if you cancel 24 hours in advance. Amara Karuna lives in Eugene and on the Big Island of Hawaii, and has studied alternative healing since 1978. Amara has studied and practiced Re-evaluation Co-counseling, a method of peer counseling since 1983, teaching it 5 years. In 1989, she developed her own approach to peer counseling, now called Holistic Peer Counseling, integrating many ideas from RC with spiritual meditation practices, psychic healing, breath work and body centered somatic techniques. Amara developed Heartbeat Nurturing Therapy, a method of healing the inner infant-self using cradling, and hypnotic induction to address emotional issues stemming from lack of breast feeding & loving closeness as an infant. She is the author of "Heartbeat Nurturing Therapy- Healing Our Hearts Together". See http://www.karuna-sacredloving.com/ for counseling, classes, workshops, writings, videos
