Inter-University French Speech Competition

Inter-University French Speech Competition

Date: Saturday, March 6, 2010
Time: 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Venue: MG07, Main Building, HKU

The School of Modern Languages and Cultures, in association with the
Consulates General of France in Hong Kong, Macau and Guangzhou, and
the Hong Kong Association of French Teachers (AFLE), is hosting an
Inter-University Speech Competition on the theme of the Pearl River
Delta: Current Situation and Issues. Ten finalists from tertiary
institutions in Hong Kong and Guangdong will compete for the first
prize of a 2-week internship at a language school in the south of
France, sponsored by Alfmed, including accommodation and a round-trip
air ticket. The first runner-up will win HKD5,000 and the second
runner-up HKD2,000. The teacher whose student wins the first prize
will also be awarded a round-trip air ticket from Hong Kong to Paris.
