We will explore the world of French rose' by tasting 4 different French rose’s blended from a variety of the 11 different permitted grapes and compare each blend without and with food to develop your food/wine pairing skills.
Wine education is harder to come by than ever with most wine being sold by grocery stores. We work to fill that information gap and have a good time.
There are 3,000 different rose’s made in France, which aren’t all light and watery. In fact, 44% of all wine sold within France is now rose’ while red wine has declined from 80% of sales to 46%. We will learn about the 3 AOP regions, the Frnech rules for wine-making, and the mysteries of French wine labels.
