apps that benefit the public good. Work directly with State of
Michigan experts using State of Michigan data to brainstorm,
design, and build apps with real social value.

Location-aware job search? Navigation that incorporates
crime statistics to derive driving routes? Wizard-driven benefits
search for Vietnam vets? The sky is the limit. You can make a
real difference.

Respect and press are valuable, but they don’t put dinner
on the table. In addition to app building, presentations from
technology heavy hitters, and the opportunity to do real
Open Government work, Code Michigan will be awarding
prizes to the best, most viable, most beautiful, and most useful
apps developed over the weekend. Cash, prizes, and even slots
to pitch your app to real VCs will be awarded to winners.
