Do come along on this great walk with fantastic views of Surrey. It will involve walking up Box Hill (including the summit), see the Zig Zag road (made world famous by the Olympic cyclists), go into Denbies vineyard, and explore the Ranmore hills. We won't be on the "tourist route" so we should see plenty of great spots away from crowds.
This is quite a hilly walk but still great for the someone who wants to explore the countryside for the first time. Dogs are welcome (a lead is needed when we go into the pub garden).
Meeting at 11:00 outside Dorking Deepene station (which has trains that go straight to Guildford) AND Dorking (main) station (postcode RH4 1TF). I shall be wearing my trademark yellow hi-vis vest.
Car Parking is best on the streets BEHIND the stations e.g Pixham Lane or Swan Mill Gdns (this road has a footpath going under the railway line taking you onto Lincoln Rd). You may be able to park on Lincoln Rd itself (Saturdays are free) in between the stations if you can find a space.
Stop for drinks (but not food). Do bring sandwiches and a camera. Walk should end around 2:30 pm
