Join us on this walk round Box Hill and Mickleham. Remember in February when the meetup site was offline? I ran a Box Hill walk that week which was very enjoyable but only had a few people on it.
Anyway, I am running something similar. Please note THIS IS NOT A REPEAT of my last Box Hill walk as it is longer, will go to different places, and have a pub stop in a different place. Box Hill is probably Surrey's leading attraction (the site of the Olympic cycling) but apart from the summit we will avoid the "tourist" spots.
Please note that is a HILLY walk (steep uphill climbs and downhill slopes) and is best if a brisk pace is kept throughout (those who came with me on previous journeys to Box Hill or Reigate Hill will manage but a bottle of water is essential). Anyone who struggles with hills would best AVOID this walk.
Meet at 1 pm outside Dorking main railway station approach road (100 metres from Dorking Deepdene) station. Car parking is best on Lincoln Road in between the stations (free on Saturday). Dogs welcome.
It is a circular walk and will finish AT a pub (around 5:30) near the start. The evening menu is below. If you want to come to the pub only we will be at the Watermill Inn (starting in the garden).
