David from the Woking meet up has asked to see if any of the Guildford group would be intrestred in a river cruise. (Any queries please contact David)

This event be over no later then 3.30pm if you stay on for lunch! So you can get back to your TV set in time to see England play!!

If you know Guildford like the back of your hand, chances are you may not have seen this beautiful environment from the unique perspective of a cruise boat on the river wey.

The Harry Stevens is a familiar sight as it cruises along the River Wey. Open-sided, with roll-down, see-through curtains for all weather protection. The "Harry" seats up to 60 passengers.
Prices: Adults ?7.00

The trips offer the chance to see a variety of wildlife as well as a spectacular view of the Guildford skyline, all whilst travelling through some of the most attractive countryside Surrey has to offer.

The on-board commentary allows you to find out much more about the River and its history. A 1? hour trip heading south from Guildford Boat House, taking in St. Catherine's Lock and the history and beauty of the Godalming Navigation section of the River Wey. Turning at or near* the Gun's Mouth (junction with the old Wey & Arun Canal), the trip brings you back to the Boat House. *actual turning point depends on time taken to get through the lock.

I'm sorry to say they are unable to accommodate wheelchairs on the boat.

Meeting at the guildford boat house (11.00am) Saturday morning 12th June. We will then all board the HARRY STEVENS for a late morning cruise. Please make every effort to be on time as the boat will not wait for any late comers and you will miss the cruise if your late.

Arfter thre cruise for tho's of you who wish to we will go on for lunch for around 1.30pm beside the river.

(DIRECTIONS)
Follow the signs to Guildford Town Centre, then leave along the A281 Horsham Road.
Fork left for Yvonne Arnaud Theatre and Millbrook Car Park (brown signs).

Drive a short distance up High Street, then take first right into Quarry Street.
Turn right at the traffic lights and turn left into the Millbrook Car Park.
Guildford Boat House is reached across the car park at the far end.
Guildford main line train station is about 10 minutes on foot.

I plan to take the train from woking on the day as car parking on a saturday morning in Guildford is a nightmare!!
If you are coming by car please allow yourself extra time for travel as the millbrook car park fills up very quickly.

Hope you can make it along to whats going to be a great day!
