Excellent! I don't remember ever going there before even though I've lived most of my life just a few km south of it. Good to be a hometown tourist and discover these places!

I am glad I woke up in time and went. So beautiful out for walking there. No wind and the clouds dissipated so we could see some blue sky. The trees were in different colors, such as green, yellow and orange. The leaves have not completely fallen yet. I discovered with Ray's help a gorgeous place for a bonfire/picnic by a pond. So picturesque. Afterward we stopped in at Tim Horton's on Brookside Blvd. Overall it was serene and healing. I had a good time.

    September 20, 2014

  • rebecca

I am coming from bridgewater, which is the best route, where do I meet and if possible can I get ride back please

    September 20, 2014

  • ray

Hello Beth, certainly, I think at 10:15 would be good.

    September 20, 2014

  • Beth S.

    Hi, Ray

May I take you up on your offer of a ride? Can I meet you en route, say at the Petro Canada at the corner of Ellice at Century?

What time should I be there?

    September 20, 2014

  • ray

The parking lot where we will be meeting is the one on Farmer Road. The only washrooms in the park are located near this parking lot. The parking lot on Klimpke ,has , I think only an outhouse type of washroom.

    September 19, 2014

  • Joy

I was just wondering which parking lot you plan to meet up at. I printed out a map that shows two parking lots, one on Farmer Ave and the other on Klimpke Road?

    September 18, 2014

    • Stacey

When I turned off Brookside Blvd left onto Farmer's Avenue, it was the second area where cars were parked. It is a large parking lot that can hold about 20 cars or so. There is buildings there with a washroom. I hope that helps. Ray any other info for her???

      September 18, 2014

  • Liz

just venturing out, how many km can I look forward to?

    September 16, 2014

    • Stacey

That's unknown. I will do my best to make it, but if I don't make it, Ray will be your guide. It is for fun, we don't keep track of distance.

I just realized that I have tons of tomatoes to process from my garden and not enough time in a weekend to do everything I want. So have a great time everyone and I'll catch you another time.

    September 16, 2014

  • Beth S.

    Ray (sad face with problems)

I'm going to need a ride - Transit Tom doesn't have a stop within 5 miles.
Can we meetup for carpooling with others in the same boat (errr...I mean automobile)?

    September 14, 2014

    • Stacey

Sorry. I had forgot when I wrote that note. All I was thinking about was how exhausted I was.

      September 15, 2014

  • ray

Hi ,sure I can host this walk -I have never hosted an event before , but it should turn out ok.

    1 · September 14, 2014

    • Stacey

Thanks. There is nothing to it. I just needed a back up. At the time I wrote that other message I was so beat and feeling awful from all I am doing. I feel better once again and most likely will be there. Just it is better to have someone there incase something happens to me.

      September 15, 2014

  • ray

yes ,I can give you a ride

I don't know how I will be functioning on Sunday due to my crazy work shifts and social life. This meet up will be on, but I don't know I will wake up for it. I so I am hoping since it was Ray's idea, he will host it. I still am hoping to go, just not feeling that great right now.

  • Chris R.

I'm like Elisha, I would like to go but I have a very busy Saturday before and I might be really zonked Sunday morning. Can I RSVP to go (if I'm awake, lol) early that morning if I intend to come?

    September 12, 2014

    • Stacey

It will be harder for me as well since I am going on the River Rouge the night before til 2am.

      September 12, 2014

    • Chris R.

Okay you have me beat. I figure I'll be home by midnight after my son's birthday at Celebrations.

      September 12, 2014

  • Beth S.

    Hey, Stacey

Winnipeg Transit hasn't even HEARD of Little Mountain Park - no bus service close.

Can I hitch a ride with someone?

    September 7, 2014

    • Stacey

hmmm... good question. I believe from that point it takes 30 to 45 mins. I just realized I will be out till 2 or 3am the previous day. I will say 9:30am or 9:45am.

      September 8, 2014

    • Stacey

I will get back to you on that.
