Welcome friend-seekers! Let's face it. It can be challenging to make genuine friends as adults, and especially at/after 40. The goal of the group is to create a safe, intentional space for women in their 40s and 50s to meet and make lasting friendships that fit their current lifestyle and have some new experiences while doing it. Tired of having free time and no-one to call and hang out with? Looking for a shopping, brunch, concert, fitness, "walk and talk", or travel buddy? Rarely have the opportunity (or courage) to get to know a new person outside of work or your current social circles? This online and in-person group is geared toward making friendship matches to do life with. Our group meetups will focus on getting to know each other while enjoying food, discussions, indoor/outdoor activities, and group-identified events with the goal of organically forming smaller groups or pairs that meet and support each other on a more frequent basis. Our motto is "Come alone, leave with a friend." Meaningful connection is our endgame. We especially welcome women who are single, dating, or divorced with or without children who have some free time and a genuine interest in making sister-friends. Since convenience increases the likelihood of creating lasting connections, please note that most in-person events will be held in Montgomery County, parts of Prince George's County, and Washington DC.
