Note 1) We will be in the upstairs bar until 9pm (just walk up the spiral stairs immediately on the right after you enter the venue). Afterwards, most members (and the organisers) make their way downstairs to the ground-floor bar when the live music starts at 9:00pm.
Note 2) We highly recommend that new members arrive as close to the start time as possible (ideally by 8.00 pm) - then it's much easier for us organisers to introduce you to the group before the night becomes busier. Organisers will be holding white attendance sheets and waiting to greet members. If we don't see you first, please ask staff/members for 'Martyn' so we can welcome you to the group.
Note 3) The ground-floor bar where the music will be playing becomes very busy after we make our way downstairs at 9:00pm. That is why we have also arranged for the upstairs bar to be open. So if you want a quieter night you always have the option of heading upstairs. The whole venue has been privately booked just for our group.
Note 4) Please can everyone kindly observe the waiting list as we are at capacity for this event.
Join us for a Saturday Night-Out at the beautiful Albion pub in West Kensington with live music being performed just for our group (mainly a mixture of popular cover songs).
The Albion is widely regarded as one of the best traditional pubs in London, with an exceptionally warm feel and friendly staff (scroll down to view photographs of the pub). We've organised many events at the Albion and they have always been very well-attended and worked exceptionally well. The Albion is open until midnight. The live music will not be starting until 9pm and when it starts there'll be plenty of gaps in between sets. While there's live music, it's still quite easy to make conversation in most areas of the pub.
We've booked the entire two-floor pub as a private meetup event just for our group. The venue closes at midnight. We have also arranged for the upstairs bar to be open until 11:00pm.
We've booked the talented Adam Smith as the musician for this event. He's an acoustic guitarist and singer. He played for us many years ago as he's a friend and a member of this group.
