WET BEAVER CREEK DAYHIKE - Sedona area

Saturday, August 4th
Leader: David Anderson ([masked])

Length: 4 - 5 miles R/T
Phone:[masked]

Rating: Easy, Hot, Wet , Fun
RSVP by August 3rd at 5:00 PM *

Elevation change: 800’
MEET in Denny’s parking lot, SW corner of I-17 and Bell Road, 7:15 AM

Let’s go hiking to a great swimming hole with rocks to jump off of, and cool water. This is one of Arizona’s best swimming holes. We’ll hike the scenic Bell Weir trail, angling in to parallel the creek, through classic AZ canyonland. Once at the swimming hole we can swim, picnic, jump off rocks into the pools below, rest in the shade or sun (your choice), and just hang out. When we are done, maybe jump in one more time to get wet for the hot hike back out to the cars. This is a fun hike/swim and really not very difficult. If it is too hot on the way out, you can get back into the creek a couple of places and cool off. BRING: Lots of water (3 liters minimum), picnic food, maybe a camping pad or cushion to lounge on, maybe water shoes, towel, sunscreen, camera, hat, etc. No glass containers. No dogs as it will be too hot.
* Hike leader prefers 'going' RSVP's via Meet-Up site (Not Going RSVP's are unnecessary), otherwise call and leave your number, in case there are changes.

Thanks Kurt. I see it now. I guess we'll figure out how many cars & carpooling when we get to Denny's?
