Join us for this year's Annual Meeting and Dinner. This year we will have Blake Dinius, a Plymouth County Entomologist (bug expert) as guest Speaker. Blake will be doing a presentation on "Ticks and their environment”. The talk will review the basic biology of ticks, tick habitats and dispel any commonly held myths. Most importantly, proven protection measures and prevention will be discussed.
Please RSVP by Sunday May 20th to allow us to ensure the correct dinner order. Payment for dinner can also be made via a check mailed (mailed prior to May 18th please) to FMSSF, PO Box 302, Carver, MA 02330. We will also take payments at the door.
The annual meeting is where members elect our Board. We have a few long-time board members up for re-election: John Bescherer, Donna McBrien, Glenn d'Entremont and Charlie Pye.
Bill Vickstrom will be coming to the end of his final term on the board. (We have an 8 year term limit in our bylaws. People can come back to the board after a one year absence.) We are thankful for all the time and effort he put into the group and hope we can convince him to stay around.
We continue to look for other nominations from our members for people who want to help the Forest by serving on our Board. Please contact us if you are interested in joining our board.
A full copy of our bylaws and the list of our current board may be found on our website on the "About Us" (http://www.friendsmssf.com/aboutus.html ) page.
Entrees, sides, and salads will be provided buffet style at $20 per person and catered by Roche Brothers. Soft drinks will also be provided. Appetizers and desserts are potluck if you would like to bring one.
Doors will open at 5:30 PM with a social hour and the appetizers. Dinner served at 6:15 PM. Speakers and meeting start at 7:00 PM.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
