Go Green on Black Friday Hike at Massasoit State Park

Would you rather connect with nature than compete with the Black Friday shopping crowds? Did you overindulge during your Thanksgiving feast and want to burn some calories? Then come hike the trails of scenic Massasoit State Park on this 5-mile, moderately paced recreational hike!
We will walk some of the favorite trails that pass by Lake Rico, Big Bearhole Pond and Middle Pond and through mature white pine forests.

For adults and older children who can hike about five miles of moderately challenging trails. Dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, and bring drinking water and a snack. Meet at the Contact Station in the main parking lot at 1361 Middleboro Avenue in East Taunton. Hike is free; no parking fees. Well-behaved leashed dogs are welcome to join us. Rain, snow, or icy trails cancel.
