What we’re about
This is a group suggested for people 30+ yrs., who find that they'd love to enjoy a *variety* of activities with others; meeting great new friends all at the same time!
In-person events occur in Burlington (live bands, dinners, Sound Of Music and Ribfest festivals, movie nights, cottage games, 10 pin bowling, beach volleyball, etc.), Oakville (hikes), Waterdown (Streetsfest and ribfest), Niagara Falls (shows at Fallsview, weekend getaways), Toronto (Blue Jays), and other cities - depending on member suggestions / interests!
We also have a host of favourite ONLINE games now (that members wanted kept after COVID!!).
We continue to be part of fundraising - to date over $7,000 to the following organizations - Food4Kids, Phoenix Place, SAVIS of Halton, Carpenters' Hospice, Halton Women's Place, Humane Society, CNIB, Crisis Services of Canada, and St. John's Therapy Dogs.
Monies collected from members go to venue fees, supplies/costs, Meetup website fees, online licenses, directly to charities (for some events listed as such), and all remaining monies then go BACK TO YOU the members as "perks", or lowering the cost of events, hosting the anniversary event, and other great special events!
