23rd September 2019 - Day 1 – Athens

Upon arrival, hotel transfer for check-in from 2pm onwards. Today is an arrival day so there are no planned activities, but a group dinner will be arranged for the evening. Overnight in Athens.

Day 2 – Athens / Thessaloniki

After breakfast, city tour of Athens. See Panathinaikos Stadium, Zappeion and Temple of Zeus, Athens Trilogy, which includes University of Athens, Academy of Athens, and National Library. See National Garden, Hadrian’s Arc, St. Paul’s Church, the Parliament and Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Catholic Cathedral, Constitution Square, and the Russian Orthodox Church, before finally we arrive at our destination; Acropolis. Visit Acropolis Museum. In the afternoon travel to Thessaloniki (approx. 6 hours’ drive), where we will spend the night.

Day 3 – Thessaloniki / Kalambaka

After breakfast, tour of Thessaloniki, starting with a panoramic drive around White Tower. Visit Galerius Arch, Rotunda Monument, Old Town (Ano Poli), and City Walls, from where you will have a wonderful view of Thessaloniki. Stop at Agios Demetrius Byzantine Church. In the afternoon, travel to Vergina (1-hour drive), ancient capital of the Macedonian Kingdom. We will visit the museum which contains royal tomb of Alexander the Great’s father, Phillip II. Drive to Kalambaka (approx. 2 hours), arriving early evening. Overnight in Kalambaka.

Day 4 – Kalambaka / Meteora / Delphi

Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Meteora, where ageless monasteries set among striking scenery are perched atop huge rocks, appearing to be suspended in mid-air. Drive to Delphi (approx. 3 hours ) arriving early evening. Overnight in Delphi.

Day 5 – Delphi / Athens

After breakfast, tour of Delphi, known in ancient times as the ‘Navel of the World’. Visit the archaeological site and monument of Argive Kings, Treasury of Athenians, Athenian Stoa, Polygonal Wall, monument of Plataea and Temples of Apollo, and the Delphi Museum. In the afternoon drive back to Athens (approx. 2 hours) via the picturesque mountain village of Arachova. Reach Athens late afternoon. Dinner will be arranged for your last night.

28th September 2019 - Day 6 – Depart Athens

After breakfast, rest of the day free until your scheduled flight departure.

• Sharing a room at 3-star hotels with breakfast (single supplement £259.00)
• All tours as mentioned in the itinerary
• Transportation in private vehicles
• Airport transfers if travelling on suggested flights
• English speaking local guide for all tours

TRIP COST: £799.00 based on sharing a twin room and does not include flights. Tours without flights are TTA bonded. Please get in touch, if you would like help with the booking of flights. (Please do not book your flights until we have at least 5 people confirmed so please pay deposits at your earliest!)

DEPOSIT: To secure your place on the trip, you will have to pay a non-refundable deposit of £150.00 via bank transfer, Paypal or Credit Card.

Please note that a check-in time of 14.00 is typical at most hotels. If you are arriving early, please let us know if you would like the room to be booked from the night before (for an additional cost).

It may sometimes be necessary to make small, last-minute changes to our itineraries or hotels for reasons beyond our control. We will update you.
