Celebrate winter and revel in the Park’s beauty at the 2014 Central Park Ice Festival! Watch artists from Okamoto Studio live as they carve ice sculptures of some of the Park’s best known architectural gems of Bethesda Terrace, including the Angel of Bethesda and the four seasons. Warm up with a beverage from the Van Leeuwen truck and take a picture with Freeze Frame to remember the day by and ask one of the official Central Park Conservancy Discovery Guides about the amazing design of the Terrace, "heart of the Park" and more! FREE and open to the public.

The meeting time will be 11:45 am on the corner of 72nd Street and 5th Avenue here: http://goo.gl/maps/uJ3FE - Look for a group of people standing around talking to each other. If it's difficult for you to approach a group of strangers you can call me at [masked] - We'll hang around and get to know each other for 15 minutes before we head into the park together.
Museum: After the Ice Fest we'll walk to the The Metropolitan Museum of Art and bask in some culture.
Dinner/Drinks: Reichenbach Hall: German Beer Hall is located at 5 West 37th Street. Every table gets a giant (and I mean giant) pretzel to snack on + whatever else you want to buy + separate checks for everyone. We went here for my Bryant Park Ice Skating event a few months ago and had a great time. See http://reichenbachhall.com for the menu. I plan to head there around 5p, but if you want to come later, please feel free or you don't have to come at all. They can fit[masked] of us with relative ease. =)
My events are about meeting people and having fun. All ages are encouraged to attend: Single, married, couples, widows, gay, straight, black, white and everything in between. Just be friendly and have the ability to socialize with relative normalcy.
If you've never been to a meetup, don't worry, there are always new people. The event host is very nice and friendly. You can come alone or bring a friend or two or three. Upon your arrival I'll greet you and introduce you to some people. It's really quite painless.
If you have any questions prior to or on the day of the event, please do not hesitate to give me (Beau) a call at[masked]
Rain Date: None. If it rains we still go. Bring an umbrella.
