Through the use of 94 vintage and contemporary photographs, as well as original renderings, and objects, the show conveys the losses that communities throughout the city experienced and the artistic response. The show also references how parks were used for the war effort.

In each session we will work on individual tai-chi exercises to help build strength, flexibility and coordination. Using these individual exercises we will build a form of Tai chi. Each month, the Brooklyn Poetry Slam brings together Brooklyn’s best slam poets for a monthly gathering of words and wisdom. For this special JazzFest edition of The Brooklyn Poetry Slam, our guest poet and hosts Mahogany L. Browne and DJ Jive Poetic highlight the criss-crossing influences and beats of jazz, poetry and hip-hop. The Slam will be followed by an Open Mic, so come early to sign-up and make your voice heard.
