Alternative to the Bar Fun Things To Do In NYC! Message Board › Tickets to TRACES and Rated P for Parenthood
New York, NY
I finally got tickets again for the very entertaining TRACES and also some advanced notice for tickets to the musical with named stars called RATED P… FOR PARENTHOOD. See below for details on both shows and availability.
1) TRACES: at the Union Square Theatre, 100 East 17th Street.
- Monday, January 30th, 8pm (Tonight)
Tickets for $30 (normally $86-$106, so less than half off for this great show!)
Here are some comments from people who went to the show last time I got tickets:
"Totally energetic, entertaining and cool", "Really fun", "Amazing… I want to go back again"
In Traces, the human body is pushed to its limits as a group of friends leave their mark in a run-down warehouse through acrobatics, music, and dance. Fusing the traditions of circus with the energy of street performance, Traces is an explosive display of raw emotion and physicality in an intimate urban setting. Daring acrobatic feats and a youthful joie de vivre are the hallmarks of Traces, the enormously entertaining show from Canadian troupe Les 7 Doigts de la Main/7 Fingers, now at the Union Square Theatre for a limited run. A high level of excitement abounds from the moment these talented performers hit the stage in a series of high-flying kicks, jumps, spins, lifts, and tumbles. The routines, directed and choreographed by Shana Carroll and Gypsy Snider, fuse circus with modern dance and a street-level sensibility that has the troupe fooling around with basketballs or skateboards one minute, and literally jumping through hoops or climbing poles the next.
2) RATED P...FOR PARENTHOOD: at the Westside Theatre, 407 West 43rd Street
- Wednesday 2/8 at 7PM
- Thursday 2/9 at 7pm
- Friday 2/10 at 8pm
- Saturday 2/11 at 2:30pm
Tickets are $30 (normally $89.50 + fees totaling $97, so far less than half off!)

Rated P...For Parenthood chronicles every stage of modern-day parenting, from conception to college, with giant doses of heart and humor. A versatile cast of four takes the audience through the ups and downs of childrearing - from the sublime to the ridiculous - in a series of comic and musical vignettes in under 90 minutes. A hilarious, fresh, and decidedly irreverent look at an age old topic, Rated P provides all the wistful joy of childrearing ...at a fraction of the cost of braces!
Courtney Balan ([title of show], Cry Baby), Chris Hoch (La Cage Aux Folles, Shrek), David Josefsberg (The Wedding Singer, Grease!), Joanna Young (The Drowsy Chaperone, Grease!), with Natalie Charle Ellis (9-5 National Tour) and Spencer Moses (Guys and Dolls)
Let me know if you are interested in either of these shows, which show, which performance, and how many tickets.
Look forward to hearing from you.
