There is a new IMAX coming to Fernbank in January and it looks great. Here is a description:
Immerse yourself into one of the world’s most beloved cities in this stunning new IMAX® film. Discover why this tiny piece of land is sacred to three major religions through the stories of Jewish, Christian and Muslim families who call Jerusalem home. Unprecedented access to the city's holiest sites, as well as rare and breathtaking aerial footage of the Old City and the Holy Land, combine to make Jerusalem a unique and stunning cinematic experience.
We'll meet in the front lobby by the ticket counter at 8pm, then go downstairs and grab a quick drink in time for the 9pm show.
Martinis and IMAX is a great post-holiday event and Fernbank is great in winter.
Tickets are $13 ($12 for students). You may purchase tickets ahead of time on the website or at the ticket counter.
Because of the change in Fernbank's IMAX program, I had to change the event time and will not be able to make the movie because of prior plans. But I will be there at 8pm to greet and organize folks.
Hope to see you there.
