Announcing a new Meetup for The Sacramento Game Development Meetup Group!

What: Klicknation hosted special meetup of awesome'ness!

When: Thursday, April 22,[masked]:30 PM

KlickNation Headquarters
[masked]th Street, Suite C
Sacramento, CA 95814

It's been a while everyone, but another meetup is finally on the way! Catered and sponsored by Sacramento's top social gaming development studio, Klicknation. For those who are not aware of them they are the creators of the popular Facebook game Superhero City. Together we managed to plan out something I think is going to be pretty awesome, here is what we have schedule for the event.

6:30pm Doors open, pizza and drinks
7:00pm Mark Otero, CEO of Klicknation Inc. on KN's next game (Facebook-based Fantasy RPG, no official name yet)
7:30pm Aaron Nemoyten, Product Manager for Superhero City, on SHC development and progress
8:00pm Open Q&A session with everyone from Klicknation in attendance
8:30pm Quick break
8:45pm Joseph Burchett (me!), presentation on using Flash for mobile game development
9:30pm Socialize, play Wii, whatever. Mario Kart Wii if that's what the people want.

We are also going to be recording the event so those who ever is unable to make it can watch that, and we will possibly be live-streaming it as well. Doesn't mean you should attend, this is a great opportunity to meet and learn from some of the best game developers in Sacramento. And don't forget to bring your information to swap (twitter, email, resume), Klicknation is looking to hire some programmers, artists, and interns... It's going to be a pretty social event as well so good chance you will want to just show your goods off to other developers that show up. Sacramento is in dire need of a strong game development community, so lets make it happen!

Look forward to meeting all of you both new and old!
