For the Month of July, GOTCHA is running a little game jam/contest - There will be 3 meetups throughout the month focused on designing a game from scratch, each participant will be designing their own prototype, and we will be playtesting all of the prototypes in early August. Anyone is welcome to join, and the rules are simple:
Your game must be entirely yours, and must be a prototype that has not had substantial work prior to the beginning of July.
Your game must be playable (though certainly not ready for publishing or anything of the sort) by the beginning of August.
Meetings will focus on collective feedback on individual mechanics, and helping each other get through 'problem' areas.
This is the second meeting. As long as you're working on a game, you are still welcome to attend even if you missed the first one, or if you want to pursue a different game idea than the one you presented before. For this meeting, we recommend having your game in a semi-playable state (even if it's just to simulate one round of play) or, if that's not possible, having cards or other components to show off.
