• Weekly Sunday Board/Card Games

Polsky's Corner / Tiki Tiki Board Games

THIS MEETUP WILL ALWAYS BE FREE OF CHARGE - If you have questions look for Jerry or Scott as sometimes paid events (mostly tabletop role-playing) will be occurring during the same time as our meetup. Play something you like, play something old, play something new, meet other gamers, have some laughs. Group (and location) are LGBTQ friendly, and able to host as many as 30 people playing games. Snacks are available, and there's plenty of lunch/dinner food within walking distance. We generally play 'modern' style board games. This includes both "Eurogames" ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurogame ) and "Americathrash/trash" boardgames ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amerigame ). But there are plenty of nostalgia games available as well if you can find some players. There is a 'rental' wall for games at the location, which are available free of charge during the meetup, as well as games brought by participants. Feel free to bring some games and group up with other attendees. You can list what you'd like to bring in the comments section below. Feel free to bring some long games. Where will we be meeting? Polsky's Corner, at 164 S Broad Street, in Woodbury NJ. Parking is available across the street in the Police parking lot (It is public) and on the street itself.

  • GOTCHA Game Jam

    468 Mercer St

For the Month of July, GOTCHA is running a little game jam/contest - There will be 3 meetups throughout the month focused on designing a game from scratch, each participant will be designing their own prototype, and we will be playtesting all of the prototypes in early August. Anyone is welcome to join, and the rules are simple: Your game must be entirely yours, and must be a prototype that has not had substantial work prior to the beginning of July. Your game must be playable (though certainly not ready for publishing or anything of the sort) by the beginning of August. Meetings will focus on collective feedback on individual mechanics, and helping each other get through 'problem' areas. This is the second meeting. As long as you're working on a game, you are still welcome to attend even if you missed the first one, or if you want to pursue a different game idea than the one you presented before. For this meeting, we recommend having your game in a semi-playable state (even if it's just to simulate one round of play) or, if that's not possible, having cards or other components to show off.

    First Presbyterian Church

Whether you're new to board games or a veteran, all are welcome. Kids, families, adults, seniors. Everyone has a place at the table. We have a large gym to host and a few rooms near by, should the space become needed. In the event we are not able to use the gym, we will be on the top floor. Please use the back entrance connected to the church parking lot. The church's front doors will not be open. Do not let the stairs scare you, this event is handicap accessible. We have an elevator that can get you to the gym or the top floor. The church is allowing us to use this space for free. There will be no evangelism at the event. If you have any issues or concerns, Eric is always available to speak with. Everyone is welcome. No alcohol is permitted on site. We advertise this in numerous ways, so don't let low numbers scare you. We have at least 3-4 show up and have had over 20 come out before.
