NYC Gaming March: Demo Night

Not going to GDC? Come join us for the coolest thing happening in gaming this side of the Moscone Center.

This is the place to see the newest games being built in NYC and meet the people who built them.  Each month, we get together to watch six demos, drink beer and eat pizza.  And we're doing it again this month at Microsoft. Join our community of game developers, designers, creatives, investors and more building across multiple platforms and genres.

This month's demos include:

Brian Ferrara :: Death Goat

Jesse Freeman :: Super Jetroid

Melissa Marie Fassetta :: Beat Blocks

Colin Fuller :: Warping War Pig

Brad O'Farrell :: Story War

Damon Branch :: Organic Panic

Michael Christatos :: Worm Run (retrospective)

    Last 2.5 hours to help Damon and Anatole and pledge to the Organic Panic Kickstarter!! We hit $40K, but that's really the bare minimum that they've set. Every little bit helps!

    Just a reminder that the Organic Panic preview party is tonight (Thurs, Aug 1st) from 6-10pm at Fontana's Bar in LES.

    There'll be free pizza and t-shirts. It's gonna be FUN!! And who doesn't want fun? "I don't want fun," said no one EVER. Think on that if you're feeling lazy. ;)

      Can you add coffee particles? and or Cool-aid

      March 29, 2013

    • Anatole B.

      Coffee yes, basically oil with less viscosity, and all characters will stop and go "mmmmmhhh coooofffeee" - Cool-aid is actually impossible no physics engine can handle that, plus it only works in the US. Europeans don't have that :-)

    Great talking to everyone yesterday! Organic Panic was absolutely gorgeous. I forgot to mention that Beat Blocks is not released yet and is still in development, and any info about the Beat Blocks release will be on http://www.facebook.com/BeatBlocks. Any press or media interested in playing before release, I'd be happy to add you to our list, please contact me through that page. Thanks all!

    The Beat Blocks video is private, so kind of hard to view.

    Hey all,

    My name is Brianne Barry. I am a reporter with the NYCity News Service. I'm doing a broadcast piece on video games and would love to attend this meetup, or speak to anyone interested in being interviewed. Let me know if this is a possibility and if there's anyone specific I should speak to. Also, I have much more information to share about my piece but thought a comment may not be the best place to put it so contact me with any questions or concerns. I've included my contact information below. Thanks.
