What we're about
So it's a game group for gay guys. Pretty self-explanatory. ;]
This is a group for gay men in their 20's to 30's in the Philadelphia area that enjoy playing board games, card games, puzzle games, social deduction games, video games, and/or general shenanigans.
We strive to meet at least once every month, typically on Friday evenings. We meet usually at members' houses in Montgomery County, though we have been known to venture to the city on occasion.
Couple of basic rules (because every game has 'em):
You are required to have a face pic in your Meetup profile if you wish to attend Meetups. We know this isn't comfortable for some people, but given that we mostly hold Meetups at members' houses, we need to have some idea of who you are.
You are required to confirm your RSVP in advance if you actually intend to attend the Meetup. Space is often limited at our Meetups, and people on Meetup generally do not think twice about RSVPing to anything that strikes their fancy but don't actually plan on attending. To be fair to everyone who wishes to attend our Meetups, we have instituted an RSVP confirmation process as follows:
If you RSVP, the Organizer will email you and ask for your reply to confirm your RSVP one week prior to the Meetup. You have until 72 hours before the Meetup (usually Tuesday evening, as Meetups are generally on Fridays) to reply to the confirmation email. If you do not, we will assume you are no longer interested, you will be removed from the RSVP list, and you will not be sent the address to the Meetup. Waitlisted members can be permitted in your place.
(If you do not reply to the confirmation email within 72 hours of the Meetup, but are still interested in attending, you may still message the Organizer or the Event Host within 72 hours of the Meetup to request the address if there is still space available. There usually isn't.)
If you RSVP, but do not reply to the request for confirmation of your RSVP, you will be removed from the RSVP list. If you confirm your RSVP but do not attend the Meetup, you will be recorded a No Show. If either scenario occurs more than once, subject to Organizer's discretion, we will assume you are no longer interested and you will be removed from the group. If you reach out to the Organizer or Event Host in either scenario, it will not be counted against you.
Thanks for your cooperation and we hope to see you!
