Special Interest Groups Hack Night

We currently have two SIGs running: Arduino and Reprap. We have them both meeting on the one night, the repraps are out the back and the Arduinos and related microsystems out the front.

This hack night is NOT a talk fest. Participants take an active part hacking their Arduinos or working on Reprap stuff either alone, working with someone else, or demoing something to the group.

Our main group projects are for exhibiting at the Gold Coast show in August - but this doesn't preclude people from coming and doing other things - everyone is equally accessible no matter what they are working on.

The SIG meeting is free for TechSpace members and first-time visitors, or $10 for others. You can join the TechSpace on the night. Please see the info at the bottom of the "Membership" Web page for making (one-off) payments.

2 new POV projects under way. New members. Steve finished his mini POV. Botz project hit a milestone. Botz were running about controlled by pi. Phones were used. Lot of admin to do.... Sunday job. Skip putting finishing touches on the Botz design... PCB 's arrived. Motors and chips and rc controllers arrived. Very satisfying night

Lots of things to show off if needed... Again, legendary work by chris to bring the Botz project to the start gate... Now collaboration is required to get it over the finish line..

A few things to iron out... Task list Sunday.

We will have to organise the manpower, support material and exhibits to take to the ‘Linking You Locally’ day at Southport Library on Saturday. See the discussion on https://groups.google.com/d/forum/gctechspace for details.
