Sunday afternoon hangout: Spring Clean & BBQ

We made good progress in getting the Space tidied. We sorted out a lot of tech stuff and reclaimed some good parts. Most of the Space is now reasonably sorted, except the electronics/hardware benches and tables have become a total junkyard lately. They need tidying, and we probably need a way to ensure that people make more effort to keep them tidy. By the time we finished it was too dark to take good pics, of tidy areas with stuff all arranged on the pallet racking, so I will get to this next day I am in.

Mark rebuilt the hot-end and its connecting wiring on Mork the Reprap, fixing a broken heater wire. It seems to be once again printing OK.

A rack-server is in place in the software area, and it is ready to install Linux on. The racks it sits on needs better shelving material. If anyone has any planking or sheets of ply or melamine lying around, we would love to take it. Ideal thickness is 7mm (which we can double or brace if needed) to 20mm. It is no problem to cut it down with a skillsaw to fit.
