For those that are wondering about internet at the space. OnTheNet turned down our request for sponsorship-in-kind of our Internet and I was not able to get in touch with the right Optus people to get sponsorship within our timeline - so I have gone back to Exetel who we were in before and were always reliable.
it's currently a little way off so we are running on 3G until we get started. Current status of connection is

So fingers crossed they will stick to this - they are usually pretty good and sometimes even come in early.
Anyway - once we are connected we will have unlimited internet for members (within fair usage guidelines - ie. nothing illegal) and we also have unlimited national phone calls so there will be cordless phones around the place for space members to use for business. Unfortunately free calls to mobile is only optus mobiles, which is very hard to manage, so we'll have to continue ban on mobile calls as we don't want to be slumped with a big bill - I recommend just using mobile for calling mobiles anyway - it's usually cheaper than a landline. If there's a big demand we can go hunting for a decent VOIP/mobile deal.
13 numbers are also not free so I recommend just calling the regular number (most companies have them on their websites for international callers) if you want to use the techspace phone.
