Hi Folks,

Last year this was a really wonderful event. Participants, sponsors, mentors, workshop leads and judges loved it. The two winning teams, WayPoint RX and
KidCity VR stayed together, formed companies and have been funded. You can see what happened last year on the hackathon website realityvirtuallyhack.com.

We are excited to announce that applications are open for the 2017 Reality Virtually Hackathon to be held October 6-9, 2017! Participants will compete for cash prizes, gifts, bragging rights and the opportunity to showcase their work at the inspiring MIT Media Lab’s sixth floor, located in the heart of Cambridge’s tech scene in Kendall Square.

Who: We welcome developers, graphics artists, designers, video/sound engineers, business strategists, and anyone else excited about building AR/VR applications!
Where: MIT Media Lab in Cambridge, MA
When: October 6-9, 2017

What: Workshops will be held on October 6th to bring participants up to speed with development platforms, specifics about headset platforms, software tools, and design principles. The hackathon will be kicked off the evening of October 6th and continue through October 8th, with a public expo and final judging sessions on the afternoon of October 9th.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis, so get yours in early!  We look forward to hearing from you!

Best

Steven
