Hi everyone,

I just learned about this and wanted to give everyone a shout in case you are near the MIT Stata Center, Building 32, 32 Vassar Street Cambridge at 4:00 PM. The talk looks like a really interesting application of Google's mature AI technology used to interpret computer vision from the dataset of images collected for Google Maps.

Speaker Bio:

Timnit Gebru is a research scientist in the Ethical AI team at Google and just finished her postdoc in the Fairness Accountability Transparency and Ethics (FATE) group at Microsoft Research, New York. Prior to that, she was a PhD student in the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, studying computer vision under the world-renowned  Fei-Fei Li.
