[Save the Dates] 7/31-8/1 Blockchain Hyperledger & Smart Contracts for Software Engineers

From: Steven Max P.
Sent on: Wednesday, June 26, 2019 2:38 PM

We've been on hiatus recently - reconsidering what kind of learning content we want to deliver. The evening meetup has its place, but much professional education does not fit into this platform.

We'll be producing more long-form professional education in advanced computing technologies for designers, developers, and engineers that positively impact their professional standing and income. And, for employers, we will help expand the talent pool of advanced computing technology competency.

We are pleased to announce the first: two-day Blockchain Hyperledger & Smart Contracts for Software Engineers July 31, 2019 and August 1, 2019 . Seating will be limited, so check back for the opening of registration.

In this workshop, IBM Developer Advocate Oliver Rodriguez will lead a session introducing the blockchain technology and discuss how business can use blockchain to record transactions between members of a business network. We will begin with a high-level introduction to blockchain and then dive deeper into Hyperledger Fabric as we explore the network architecture, the consensus process, and more. The session will cover topics including

:⁃ What is blockchain

⁃ The architecture of Hyperledger Fabric

⁃ Requirements for blockchain use cases

⁃ Smart contract development⁃ Client application development

Throughout the session, the attendees will have the opportunity to get hands-on experience with building smart contracts for the Hyperledger Fabric blockchain implementation as well as client applications to interact with deployed smart contracts. After the session, participants will have gained an understanding of

⁃ the blockchain technology and its many flavors

⁃ why business are choosing Hyperledger Fabric

⁃ how to come up with a good blockchain for the business use case

⁃ The tools available for blockchain development

⁃ building smart contracts using the Fabric Contract API

⁃ building client applications with the Fabric Network API

Please donate if you want to see more education like this.

If your company wants to sponsor, please direct message me.

If you have blockchain experience and/or Hyperledger experience and want to TA , please direct message me.
