DevArt with Google (

UPDATE: I have received some really awesome SWAG from Google! Several t-shirts, posters, and tons of stickers. I will be thinking of a cool ways to give out the t-shirts and posters.

DevArt is a new type of art. It is made with code, by developers that push the possibilities of creativity and technology.

Google is currently hosting a competition for artists from around the world, that use code for and within their art, to be exhibited in London at Barbican. GDG D.C. will be hosting a local event here in D.C. that showcases what D.C. has to offer.

ArtJamz is an amazing space for creative expression and a great location for this event.

There will be talks about the tech and code behind the art exhibited, what DevArt is all about, and a special guest from the DevArt team will join us via Hangouts.

This event is free and doesn't cost anything to attend. There will be drinks available(beer and wine) and the first one is on the house for the first 25 people to arrive. Pizza will also be served for FREE(while slices last)!

We also want to see what others can create, so we will be hosting a hackathon throughout the event. This will give anyone a chance to brainstorm and create something on the spot. Help with submitting your idea to the DevArt competition will also be provided.

So whether you're interested in art or code, this will be an awesome event to attend and we look forward to seeing you there,

P.S. If you're an artist or know one that is interested in have your art exhibited please let me know as we may be able to include you in the event.
