Welcome to GDG East Bay meeting page. We typically meet on the first Monday monthly, and there is a special quarterly Industry Innovation session on the 3rd Monday of the third month at each quarter.

GDG East Bay is proud to announce Innovating on Google Glass as the first session for our sixth quarterly Industry Innovation. GDG East Bay is delight to see you in our meetings. Please feel free to invite your friends and co-workers to learn and share your expertise. We are arranging the second session at this moment.

What is Google Glass ( Google Glass comes in five colors: Charcoal, Tangerine, Shale, Cotton, Sky. Google Glass can search based on your voice command. Its screen display information and you can share what you see using its video camera.

Session's Description:

Innovating on Google Glass (Lance Nanek, New Frontier Nomads)

This session will demo Google's new wearable computer, Google Glass and provide an overview for the development methods. The session will cover the included functionality, developing apps via the Mirror API, and developing native apps via the GDK. We'll also examine some of the cutting edge hacks and apps currently making headlines!

Speaker's Bio:
Lance Nanek is a Senior Software Engineering Consultant at New Frontier Nomads. He's currently helping Cerner, a 16 billion dollar health company, build a top tier Android and Glass team! Lance has a Masters in Software Engineering and Bachelors in Chemical Biology. Previously he has worked with a wide range of successful startups and large companies, including IBM, WorkSmart Labs, and HTC.
