Your Food Festival Host-Michael Norton-Meet Michael at the front...
The weather is great and it is a perfect time to enjoy the outdoors...what a better way, then eating, drinking and taking it all in! Smoke Southern BBQ Revival is having a spring outdoor food fest with oysters 3 ways: roasted, grilled, and steamed. Grilled, like they do in New Orleans and sometimes Cleveland. I don't know if they'll squirt a little flavored soy sauce onto the oysters just as they open, but should be a good way to try them. If you're not an oyster fan, they'll have a crawfish boil, crawfish meat pies (like a turnover or a samosa?really good), Shrimp boil, whole pig barbeque, ribs, smoked chicken, boudin, sausage, gumbo, beer, wine, and music. They're located just off I-77 in Blythewood at 10324 Wilson Blvd, from 2 thru 11 pm. They'll have a tent if it rains. More info: www.eatsmoke.com. Tickets $12, which probably pays the musicians. I'll be there after 4:30 PM, either in a "Parma Pierogies" tee shirt with a pink flamingo on it, or a Rosewood Crayfish festival tee shirt. Maybe too short notice for a meet-up, but look for me anyway.
