Portugal, which is situated in the extreme south-west of Europe, produces some very interesting wines for any palate. We will be tasting 5 wines from this amazing area, include the Vinho Verde, which is a great summer wine, that exemplifies tart green apple and sunshine. And at this tasting we will be serving Portuguese food for a true experience, from Crepes & Croissants.
In Portugal, "rissóis" (singular "rissol") are very popular and can be found in many cafes, barbecues and house parties. Rissóis are a breaded pastry shaped as half-moon, usually filled with fish or meat and then deep fried. Other variations use chicken or cheese as a filling. Rissóis are usually eaten cold, as a snack or as an appetizer, but can also be a main course. I'll use beef. The dessert is called "Pao de Lo" and is a very popular dessert in Portugal. It's basically a sponge cake thar can be served fruit or ice cream. I will probably fill it with some kind of cream. Voilà! This tasting will be a sit down event and we are taking reservations at[masked]-4810. We will have two times available. 5:30pm or 7:00pm. Again, reservations must be made at[masked]-4810 in order to attend this event. The cost for this event is $15.
See you in Portugal!
