Discussion 24 - Divination and its Practices

I am happy to introduce our 24th session focusing titled: Divination and its Practices. As of now, our new meeting place will be in the Crowned Eagle Pub in Paquis (see address for full location). However, the same warm atmosphere and vibrant community still remains to welcome you to the event and I hope you can attend! The meeting will take place on July 23 at 18:30 - 20:30.

Introduction to the topic - What does it mean to "divine" something? The need predict the future or to seek answers to questions of an unknown nature exists very deeply inside of ourselves. This need is answered through the general practice of divination wherein occult or spiritual practices give us the answers to the questions we pose. Whether be it the future, ourselves, the past, or something else, the practices of different systems of divination developed side-by-side with our curiosities into our questions. Whether be it the tarot, I-Ching, runes, crystal scrying, or pendulums, divinatory systems are an important backbone in the general practice of the Occult.

In this session, we will start with a general idea of divination before going into specific systems. In this session in particular, we will visit or revisit specific systems of divination with practical demonstrations from those willing to show their expertise. The specific systems will be announced in advance of the visit, but nonetheless there will be practical demonstrations alongside the usual discussion that we have. So, I am looking forward to welcoming you to this event; I hope you can make it!

Our agenda for this event is as follows:

1. Introductions (20 minutes)
2. Intro to the topic (15 minutes)
3. Discussions and demonstrations into the topic (65 minutes)
4. Closing and goodbyes (20 minutes)
